Potenza Park is a 5.02-acre park at 2355 Via Firenze Henderson, NV 89044. The park is one of the many parks that sits within the Inspirada master-planned community.

Inspirada is one of the Las Vegas Valley’s newest master-planned communities. The community was built to appeal to the outdoor lifestyle, with 85 acres of planned trails and parks.

When entering Inspirada from the main entrance, you enter on the road Via Firenze which runs like a spine through the entire length of the community. Along it are Potenza park and three more parks that include:

  • Solista Park a 5.22-acre park with bocce ball, multi-use grass fields, a playground, picnic areas, the Inspirada Community Center, and two community pools. The park even has its own restaurant,  restaurant.
  • Aventura Park is a 20.24-acre sports park with two baseball diamonds, two tennis courts, a dog park, an Inspirada community pool, and interactive games on the playground.
  • Capriola Park is Inspirada’s only horizontal park. The 13.71-acre park is divided into three sections, with three tennis courts and a grass field on the west side, a playground, splash pad, and grass field in the center, and two basketball courts with a massive lighted grass field to the east.

An additional park sits to the West of Via Firenze called Attesa Park. Attesa Park is a new 5.26-acre park with basketball, a picnic pavilion, a dog park, an Inspirada community pool, two playgrounds, a restroom, and a grass field.

When completed, 35 miles of trails will connect the neighborhoods.

Potenza Park amenities

With so many Henderson parks to visit, choosing a park often comes down to location and, most importantly, the amenities. 

If you’re interested in sports, Potenza Park has two basketball courts and a skate park. The park also has open grass areas and walking trails.

The Potenza Park playground features unique interactive games, including a piano fashioned after the one in BIG starring Tom Hanks. There is no dog park at Potenza but Capriola Park up the street has a spacious dog park.

Even parks in some of Henderson’s most notable communities, like Anthem, Inspirada, and Seven Hills, are managed by the City of Henderson, making the rules consistent for nearly every park.

The City of Henderson and Potenza Park prohibit the following:

  • Fireworks, Glass Containers & Golfing
  • Overnight Parking & Camping
  • Climbing On Trees, Structures, Or Fences
  • Alcoholic Beverages, Except By Special Permit
  • Horses Or Horseback Riding
  • Trucks, Motor Vehicles & Bicycles On Turf Or Other Authorized Areas

Potenza Skate Park rules

  1. Only skateboards, inline skates and bicycles may be used. (BMX-style bikes only; pegs must be plastic or covered in gaffer’s tape).
  2. Scooters, Razors and motorized vehicles are prohibited.
  3. All participants must wear proper safety gear, including helmets, elbow pads and knee pads. Equipment must be designed for this type of surface and in proper condition. Shirts and shoes are required.
  4. An adult must accompany anyone under the age of 13.
  5. The following are prohibited: alcohol consumption (HMC 8.40.010), drug use, tobacco products, disruptive behavior, and profanity or abusive language.
  6. Additional obstacles or materials such as ramps or jumps may not be used.
  7. No graffiti, accelerants or stickers are permitted.
  8. Do not skate or ride on curbs, driveways, picnic tables, benches, or stairs in the park.
  9. Spectators must stay off skating surfaces.
  10. No glass containers are allowed in the skate park area.
  11. No food or drinks, other than water, are allowed in the skate park area.
  12. All participants must skate/ride safely at all times and avoid collisions with others.
  13. Any formal organized events or demonstrations must have prior written permission from the Parks and Recreation Department at 702-267-5717.
  14. You are responsible to look before you skate/ride. Do not use this facility if a hazardous condition exists. This facility is closed and unavailable for use any time the surface is wet or covered with debris. Report any damage, vandalism, or hazardous condition to the City of Henderson Parks and Recreation Department at 702-267-5717;
  15. Users must abide by all other rules and regulations applicable to City parks.

Skate park hours of operation: 7:00 A.M. to 9:00 P.M. Use of this facility is prohibited outside of these hours.

This skate park is for the use and enjoyment of everyone. It is a non-supervised facility and it is up to you, as users, to ensure it is kept clean and free from graffiti, stickers and vandalism, and that all users follow posted rules. With everyone’s help and cooperation, this facility can remain open and available for all.

Failure to follow these rules may result in expulsion from the facility or closure of the skate park. Violations of these rules may result in closure of the facility for up to one week.

Inspirada 2022 Pool Rules

  • The hours of operation will be 5 am-11 pm daily until further notice. After-hours use of the pools is not permitted.
  • The facilities will be available on a first-come, first-serve basis. The maximum number of bathers at each location is identified on the signage at the venue.
  • Use of the pools are at the owner’s own risk. Lifeguards are not provided.
  • Each adult resident will be required to scan their common area card before they are permitted to enter the facility. Residents under the age of 18 are not required to have their own common area card if accompanied by an adult resident. In addition to the maximum number of residents, households are permitted to bring up to (2) guests per household to the pool facilities. Guests must be accompanied by a resident at all times.
  • Household attendance at the facilities is limited to a maximum of eight (8) residents each, including children.
  • Persons with infectious or communicable diseases and open sores are prohibited from using the pools and showers.
  • Patrons are encouraged to arrive and leave the facilities wearing their swimsuit attire in order to limit the amount of time spent in the restroom facilities.
  • A minimum of (3) feet of social distancing between users is required in the pool, on the pool deck, and in any other areas at the facility. This limitation shall not apply to persons residing in the same household
  • Food and Drink will not be permitted in the facilities, except residents are strongly encouraged to bring their own bottled water. Glass containers, chewing gum, and alcoholic beverages are not permitted.
  • Smoking will not be permitted in gated pool area.
  • Staff will disinfect all high touch surfaces at the pools and connected restrooms at least dally (e.g. entrance rails, door handles, switches, sinks, toilets, etc.)
  • The facilities may be closed at any time at the discretion of management or the Board as safety concerns arise.
  • Pets are not permitted in the pool or within the pool area.
  • Running, horseplay, yelling, excessive splashing, and/or diving into the pools are not permitted
  • A six-foot wide section of the pool deck perimeter shall be reserved for walking, satety and emergency purposes.
    No obstruction of any kind, including pool furniture, strollers or carriages, shall be permitted in this area.
  • Pool furniture shall not be placed in the pools.
  • Oversized inflatable or flotation devices, including but not limited to: inner tubes, air mattresses, surfboards, balls, scuba gear, toys of any kind, and floating chairs, are not permitted in the pools. Small kickboards, and personal flotation devices, water wings and flotation noodles will be allowed
  • Railings are designed to assist and guide pool users and not constructed to support a person’s body weight. Pool users shall refrain from using these features in a manner in which they were not intended
  • Incontinent persons shall wear swim diapers or other apparel suitable for the purpose of containing solid and liquid waste.
  • The Community Pools are not separated by age of those using but by type of usage. The family pool is for free play/swim and the lap pool is for the primary purpose of exercising.
  • Walkers and swimmers are encouraged to share lanes
  • Gates shall remain closed at all times.
  • Proper attire is required at all times inside the Community Pools. No wet swimwear is permitted within the buildings.
  • Community pools are heated from mid-March until late fall. After that date, the pool heaters will be turned off.
