Gardens Park is a sprawling 18-acre central park for The Gardens Village in Summerlin.

The oblong-shaped park, conveniently located off the 215 beltway and Town Center Drive in the 89135 Summerlin zip code, is divided by trees and walkways into three primary sections.

Closest to Town Center Drive are the sports courts, featuring:

Two tennis courts
One full-court basketball court
Sand Volleyball
A roller hockey rink
Playgrounds
Shaded barbecue areas

In the center, where nearly 200 parking spots flank each side of the park’s 1,500 horizontal feet, is a 2.5-acre ring of grass surrounded by mature trees. Pre-covid, the north parking lot became a farmer’s market with food trucks. The event has since moved to Green Valley Ranch and Downtown Summerlin.

The Gardens Community Center is one of four Summerlin community centers east of the grass area. It doesn’t have a pool, like The Trails, The Vistas, and The Willows community centers, but it is popular for special events and as an activity venue for residents.

Peaceful walkways on the park’s east side lead you through mature landscaping, gardens, open grass areas, and the park’s Shuffleboard, bocce, and horseshoe pits.

Gardens Park (Summerlin) rules and regulations

Most parks across the Las Vegas Valley are operated by Clark County, the City of Las Vegas, the City of North Las Vegas, or the City of Henderson. Summerlin parks are operated by the Summerlin Council, unique to our City.

The rules and regulations of The Gardens Park are:

Park is open daily until 10:30 pm
No alcoholic beverages or glass containers are allowed in the park
No dogs are allowed in the park unless they are restrained by a leash. Pet owners are required to pick up after their pets.
No dogs are allowed in activity or sports areas. All other animals prohibited.
No vehicles are allowed in the park except in posted parking areas or roadways. All vehicles entering and operating in the park shall strictly obey traffic laws and posted signs.
Absolutely no parking in red zones and along curbed entry ways.
No camping or lodging is allowed in the park.
No fires are allowed other than in the park barbecue.
No fireworks, firearms or weapons of any type are allowed in the park.
No golfing is allowed in the park
Sales of any kind are prohibited unless prior authorization is obtained from the Summerlin council.
Reservation of area in the park for approved special events is available through special use permits from the Summerlin council.
Any damaging or defacing of any real or personal property in the park is strictly prohibited. Any person found to have committed an act of vandalism shall be prosecuted. Anyone witnessing any act of vandalism is requested to call the Summerlin Council at 702-341-5500.
