Spanning nearly 80 acres, Exploration Peak Park features a one-mile, 194-foot elevation gain . The park has 24 acres of developed park that features spacious grass fields, playgrounds, volleyball, horseshoes, and splash pads.

Exploration Peak Park Rules

Park Hours: 5:30 am to 10:00 pm
MOUNTAIN PATHS HOURS: Dawn to Dusk
All patrons must leave the Park by 10:00 pm.

Parking is permitted only in designated areas. Any vehicle left overnight in a Clark County park is subject to citation and towing.

No motor vehicles are allowed or permitted off roadways or parking lots in the park without permission from the Mountain’s Edge Master Association. Bicycle and moped operators will adhere to all regulations governing motor vehicles. Skateboards, scooters, roller blades, skates, bicycles, etc., are not permitted in the water park area and children’s play area.

Dogs and cats are permitted only under control and on a leash no longer than six (6) feet in length and must remain on a leash in the park at all times. No electronic leashes. Patrons not in compliance with the leash law will be requested to leave the park.

NO dogs allowed in children’s play area or water feature. Please pick up feces after your dog defecates.

Absolutely no equipment, picnic tables, trash cans, benches, etc. may be moved to another area or removed from the park.

Trash containers are provided throughout the park. Dispose of all trash in the appropriate receptacles.

PROHIBITED

Consumption of alcoholic beverages.

  • Glass containers.
  • Sale or bartering of goods/services, food and/or beverages.
  • NO charcoal grills may be used other than those provided at the Pavilions. Propane grills are permitted.
  • Excessively loud music from external or internal vehicle speakers or portable radios.
  • Excessively loud music is defined as music at a level that is a nuisance to other park users or park neighbors.
  • Carrying, possessing, or discharging of any firearms, rockets, fireworks, air guns, slingshots, boomerangs, or martial arts paraphernalia.
  • Dunk tanks, bounce houses, generators, petting zoos etc…. without written permission from the Mountain’s Edge Master Association.
  • Camping or lodging.
  • Stakes or any item placed in the ground that may damage the irrigation system or landscape.
  • Use or sale of drugs is prohibited and will be subject to arrest.
  • NO horses or pony rides allowed in park.
  • NO photo shoots with professional photography equipment without written approval from the Mountain’s Edge Master Association.
  • NO golfing in park.
  • NO metal detecting or treasure hunting.
  • NO nude sunbathing.
  • NO flying of remote-controlled aircraft. There is a facility specifically provided for this activity at the Remote Airfield on the north side of the Silverbowl (Sam Boyd Stadium).
  • NO exercising in the water park area or children’s play area.
  • NO water balloons allowed.
  • NO ropes, straps, or other items are to be tied or attached to park trees, plants, or structures.

Exploration Peak Park (Mountains Edge) features

If a hiking trail with incredible views of the Las Vegas Valley and The Strip isn’t enough, Exploration Peak Park has a large playground area with a western theme and archeology area. A splash pad sits close by for Summertime fun.

The park has plenty of picnic areas, including one by the volleyball courts. Multiple horseshoe pits with a naturally raised ground backstop sit safely away from the children’s areas.

Restrooms sit at the middle of the park, conveniently off the parking lot.
